Black Yekimen (Owner - S. Meredov)

This known male was born in Kaakha. Black Yekimen has never been the the Champion, but his fights came to the history. Many Turkmen up to nowadays remember the so-called "combat of the threetheethed with the threelegged", when the enemy caught his leg, fixed fully the movements of Black Yekimen. There was no hope for the success, but B.Yekemen did surprise everybody: he seized his own leg and by the powerful jerk freed himself from the seizure of the enemy, pulling out his fang.

Very many herders kept the dogs which were alike their ancestors, the same happened with B. Yelimen. In the end of 70-s in Kaakkha the TedZhen sheep flock was brought to be cut. The black-spotted female came together with it; she had got the very impertinent character, ad she was left there. The time passed and she gave birth to 3 puppies. One of them was alike his mother, the herder S. Meredove took him, and he upbroght this legendary dog.

B. Yekimen was of rugged type, heavy male with the volumetric breast and long false ribs. He had a little light head comparing to his body. The muzzle was very volumetric and powerful in the base and narrowing towards fronton, becoming light. Having very strong back, short powerful loins, he had a little splay croup. At the age of 1 year old, he had an accident he was run out by the motorcycle and was seriously injured. There was no treatment, but it was luck, the male survived. These injuries are considered to effect on his extremities structure. These shortcomings of the figure were compensated by the impudence, flash-like reaction, fearlessness and the strength, due to which he could become the winner of the combat with several wolves. There is mention that B. Yekimen could not stand after that combat, and he was treated by the old herder method with the fat-tail grease. Recovered, B. Yekimen continued to work with the sheep flock, until in Kaakkha Kumman, the friend of the Meredovs appeared, which began taking B. Yekimen to participate in the festival fights, holding in Ashgabat. Estimating this dog as a ring fighter, the Turkmen say that he had " a cold mouth", i.е. he did not hold the clutch, but his movements were so sharp and quick, that the enemy could not react and just panicked under the storm of the roaring blows. B. Yekimen had a huge inner energy and impudent character, allowing having several combats per day. The legends ascribed toB. Yekimen the rare feature - cutting edge of the fangs, thus he could "cut" the enemy, as the wolves did. Additionally to the mention above, it is possibly to say that B. Yekimen possessed the very low level of the threshold of pain sensitivities. After the "combat of the threetheethed with the threelegged" he received the great popularity. The male "went from hand to hand". He was presented and sold, exchanged and given back, but he did not justify the hopes of the owners. At last, coming back to his previous owner, but now to the elder of the brothers, Amana Meredov, he was used as the sire. And even here, not being prepotent, he did not mark himself in his children. Although he handed down his "spirit", fearlessness and sharpness. His daughter Naygush, was first to attack the wolf, seize him and only after that the males came to help her. Another daughter, Goyunchi, the mother of known Ginger Yekimen and Goymotm, was equal in fighting with the males. B. Yekimen was also the starting point in opening of the lines of his offsprings, such asYerlen, Akello and Arlan, known in our times.

In our nursery the line of Black Yerkimen is represented by Fazla and her children, via Goyunchi – Ginger Yekimen – Babura – Pinochet.
